Terms of Sale

These terms apply to all sales of solar photovoltaic systems, battery storage systems and related services by Green Tree Solar Pty Ltd (“Green Tree Solar”, “we”, “us”) to consumers and business customers.

Quotes and agreements

All quotes are provided in writing before any work commences. A quote is valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. No payment is required until a written agreement has been signed by both parties.

Pricing and rebates

Prices include applicable Small-scale Technology Certificate (STC) rebates where stated. Rebate amounts are based on market conditions at the time of quote and may vary. Any Victorian battery storage incentive will be confirmed separately at quote stage.

Installation

All installations are carried out by Green Tree Solar’s own SAA-accredited installers. We do not subcontract installation work. We lodge the network connection application on your behalf and arrange the metering changeover with your distributor.

Cancellation

You may cancel your order within 10 business days of signing the agreement without incurring a cancellation fee. Cancellations after this period may incur costs for any materials ordered or work commenced.

Warranty

Workmanship warranty

Green Tree Solar provides a 10-year workmanship warranty on all installations. This covers faults arising from the installation itself — including wiring, mounting, connections and configuration. It does not cover equipment failure caused by manufacturing defects (covered by the product warranty below), damage caused by events outside our control, or modifications made by third parties.

Product warranties

All equipment we supply carries the manufacturer’s product warranty. Typical terms are: panels 12–25 years product warranty and 25–30 years performance warranty; inverters 5–10 years; batteries 5–10 years. Exact terms are provided in your quote documentation.

Making a warranty claim

Contact us at info@yourdomain.com.au or 1300 000 000. We will respond within {{COMPLAINT_RESPONSE_DAYS}} business days and arrange an inspection if required.

Privacy Policy

Green Tree Solar collects personal information to provide quotes, install and service solar systems, and to comply with legal obligations. We collect: name, contact details, property address, electricity usage data and financial information where relevant to finance applications.

Use of your information

We use your information to prepare quotes, carry out installations, apply for grid connection on your behalf, and to follow up after installation. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Disclosure

We may disclose your information to: network distributors (for connection applications), accreditation bodies (for compliance reporting), finance providers (where you apply for Rent to Own), and as required by law.

Complaints Process

Green Tree Solar is committed to resolving complaints promptly and fairly. Our process:

• We will investigate and respond with a proposed resolution
• If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate to the Clean Energy Council via the NETCC complaints process

External dispute resolution

As a NETCC Approved Seller, we participate in the New Energy Tech Consumer Code dispute resolution process administered by the Clean Energy Council. Details are available at cleanenergycouncil.org.au.

For consumer protection matters, you may also contact Consumer Affairs Victoria or the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).
